When the seat belt comes down across the kid’s neck it’s uncomfortable and VERY DANGEROUS!

When the belt  is under the kid’s arm, the      support it will give in an accident is JUST ABOUT ZERO

When the seat belt passes behind the child this position is EVEN MORE DANGEROUS!

If you think your children are safe

just because they’re strapped in,

Seat Belts are made for ADULTS - not children!

Seat Belts are simply TOO BIG for children!

This is the position that Toyota mentions in their Owner,s manual. In all accidents or sudden braking your child,s neck could be snapped!

TOYOTA OWNER’S MANUAL:

CAUTION!

Always make sure the shoulder belt is positioned across the center of the child’s shoulder. The belt should be kept away from the child’s neck, but not falling off the child’s shoulder. Otherwise the child may be killed or seriously injured in case of sudden braking or collision.

STILL DOUBTFUL?  Don,t take our word for it - Here,s what SA’s leading car experts say:

MERCEDES-BENZ OWNER’S MANUAL:

Risk of Injury! Children less than 150cm in height and younger than 12 years require suitable restraint systems for their protection in the event of an accident as the seat belts cannot be fitted correctly,

CAR MAGAZINE - MAY 2008 ISSUE:

Volvo’s research indicates that a child should only start  using an “adult” an adult seat belt once as he/she has grown to a height of 140cm and the pelvis is fully developed

IT’S SO VERY OBVIOUS...

Because seat belts are “TOO BIG” for children they make them very uncomfortable as the shoulder belt will pass right across their face or neck. IN THIS POSITION IT IS SO DANGEROUS THAT TOYOTA SAYS THE FOLLOWING IN THEIR OWNER’S MANUAL:
